Elf Jr., The Musical: Summer Theater Production with SkyRise Children's Theater

Elf the Musical, Jr. is based on the cherished New Line Cinema hit, Elf, and features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin. This modern day holiday classic is sure to make every young performer embrace their inner elf with plenty of large ensemble numbers featuring elves and New Yorkers of every type.

Summary
  • This is a one-week intensive musical theater main stage production.
  • At the end of the week, students will be a part of a fantastic theatrical experience.
  • We will learn and produce a full 60-minute musical with sets, costumes, choreography, and of course, fully memorized script and music!
  • Everyone must audition, however, everyone is guaranteed a role.
  • Auditions must be submitted via email to SkyRise by July 7 (extended); see below.
  • Max 40 kids.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Everyone must audition, however, everyone is guaranteed a role.
Auditions must be submitted via email to SkyRise (see below) no later than July 7th (extended), and should include:
*One song of your own choosing (karaoke, backtrack, piano or a Capella)
*The song and dance from our audition video (will be available on SkyRise website under ‘Cast’)
*Make sure you are full frame on your video, and state your full name
*Music should be memorized
Be sure to perform your song, and the dance sequence. We want to see your personality shine through!

'Behind the Scene'/Extended Day Available
Need extended day? Your child can stay and help ‘Behind the Scene’ with the technical, and artistic side of the show! Help set build, paint, make props, work on costumes and more! Available from 3-5pm, Monday-Friday, for an additional $130/week. Please arrange for this directly with SkyRise at skyrisetheater@gmail.com.

Schedule
  • Will run Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm
  • Performance is Saturday at 5pm; cast due on set for 2pm
  • Tickets for the performance will be $8 each, payable directly to SkyRise
