Get Set For Kindergarten

Each week your preschooler will be engaged in active hands on multisensory fine motor, pre-writing, math, and literacy activities that will help the children prepare for school. Today's kindergarten classroom expectations are similar to what we as parents experienced in first grade.   Even as these expectations have increased, instruction should still keep in mind the developmental level and needs of preschoolers.   Developmentally, preschoolers benefit from opportunities for hands on active learning with materials and activities designed for their small hands and their need for movement, excitement and fun!

• How to hold a crayon correctly
• The beginnings of correct letter formation, a developmental approach to writing their name and drawing skills.
• They will participate in activities that help develop early number sense and early literacy skills.
• All of this while having fun!
