Does your child dream of being a veterinarian? Sign your child up for this in-depth look at the science of caring for animals. Run by Wicked Cool for Kids, an education company that specializes in customized enrichment programs in science, art, and technology for kids through 6th grade.
More About This Program
Kids, grab your lab coat, animal lovers, as we learn about our favorite furry, flying and fishy friends! Make amazing animal models, build big bones and investigate animal intestines from our favorite vertebrates- birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Dissect an owl pellet to discover a predator’s diet. Try your hand at at catching some invertebrates as we study insect exoskeletons, and get into tiny worlds to look at animal cells and parasites. End the week with a featured live animal visit with tips for animal care and keeping pets healthy!
Daily Schedule
Mornings: 30 minutes of 'Get in the Groove', games and crafts promoting social interaction; 1st hour of activity on the week's topic; 15-30 min snack and free-play break; 2nd hour of activity on the week's topic
Lunch Break: 60 minutes for lunch and optional activities
Afternoon: 3rd hour of activity on the week's topic; 15-30 minute snack and free play break; 4th hour of activity on the week's topic; Free time to finish projects or play supervised games
