Strong Body, Strong Mind Program for Girls Ages 12+

Strong Body, Strong Mind, is a program for teen and pre-teen girls looking for a non-competitive, full body fitness program. Photo at right by Jennifer MacNeil Photography, with Rita Matraia and students.

More Information
Participants will increase flexibility while improving posture and core strength. We promote self-confidence in teen girls by showing them they are strong and capable and can achieve any goal they set for themselves. Fee includes both classes as your schedule allows each week. Classes are 50 minutes in length.

Teen Pilates & Barre Fusion, Tuesdays, 4:30pm
We'll blend the core stability and strength of Pilates with the grace and long lines of ballet in this fusion class! We teach proper alignment and postural techniques that work the core, back, and glutes. We also add small weights for resistance training to strengthen and energize the entire body including arms, legs, chest, and shoulders. This class is designed to improve posture, strength, and coordination.

Teen Yoga, Wednesdays, 4:30pm
This yoga class promotes inner calm and focus that can help girls reduce stress and increase mental and emotional serenity. Girls will gain a deeper awareness of their body as well as higher levels of focus, clarity, strength, flexibility and endurance.
