Woman Teaching Child to Swim
Enjoy the benefits of club swim lessons without having to pay club memberships! Swim lessons offered are for ages 3+.  All lessons take place at Westboro Tennis & Swim Club.

Regarding Inclement Weather
  • All classes are held outside, without the bubble overhead.
  • Classes will run in rain but not if there is the threat of thunder/lightning.
  • Contact the front desk at Westboro Swim & Tennis at 366-1222 if you have questions about class cancellations.
  • Make-up classes will only be held if the club cancels due to weather; otherwise, no other make-up classes are available.

Description of Levels
  • Level #1: Water Exploration. The objective is to make the child feel comfortable in the water and develop good attitudes and safe practices in the water. Children will learn the elementary aquatic skills, putting their face in the water, blowing bubbles, entering and exiting the water safely, etc. Suggested ages: children 3-5 years old.
  • Level #2: Primary Skills. Children will learn to float without support, and recover to a vertical position, hold their breath, kick and begin to move their arms. Suggested ages: children ages 5-7 years old.
  • Level #3: Stroke Readiness. Builds the skills through practice. Children will learn to coordinate the front and back crawl. The elementary backstroke will be introduced, as well as treading water. Suggested ages: children 7-10 years old.
  • Level #4: Stroke Improvement. Develops confidence in the skills learned and improves other aquatic skills. Suggested ages: 9-12 years old.
  • Ratios: 1:4 for Level 1-3 classes, 1:5 for Level 4

Registration
  • Registration is tentatively scheduled to begin on March 9. Registration will close 2-3 days before classes begin. Please call our office at393-5034 if wanting to sign up after that time.
  • Class sizes are limited, please sign up asap. If your child ends up on a waiting list, we will call you if we are able to add instructors. No payment is needed when signing up on the wait list.
